High dose vitamin c therapy for cancer has a massive amount of scientific research behind it!
Vitamin C, aka ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble nutrient that has many known health benefits. As part of cancer treatment, high-dose vitamin C can challenge cancer cells at a metabolic level without adversely affecting healthy cells. This works because vitamin C injection causes the formation of hydrogen peroxide.
A healthy cell has many enzymes that cancer cells do not have, including catalase. Catalase protects the normal cells from peroxide and since cancer cells lack or do not have them entirely, it is killed by the hydrogen peroxide.

And while resistant to the antibiotic doxycycline, there is evidence that high-dose vitamin C can kill cancer stem cells in certain types including breast, lung, prostate and pancreatic.
